EXHIBITION STATEMENT
The Space Between Selves is an exploration of identity, memory, and transformation. Created in black and white, the photographs strip away the distractions of color to reveal the quiet relationships between light, shadow, form, and emotion. Each image exists not simply as a document of a place or moment, but as an invitation to pause—to consider the spaces where change occurs almost invisibly.
The title refers to the transitional moments that shape every life: the distance between certainty and uncertainty, departure and arrival, who we were and who we are becoming. Rather than offering definitive narratives, the photographs embrace ambiguity, allowing viewers to bring their own experiences, memories, and questions into the work.
Many of these images were created years before they were exhibited, yet their meaning has continued to evolve alongside the artist. What began as an instinctive act of observation has become a meditation on time itself—how photographs preserve a moment while simultaneously reminding us that both places and people are continually changing.
